WHERE THE NUMBERS COME FROM

Player salaries are the base salaries published in the PWHLPA's 2025-26 salary disclosure (May 2026). Figures may exclude bonuses, incentives, and other compensation not publicly disclosed. Total tracked payroll on this site: $11,098,076 across 194 players.

2026-27 salaries have a second source: most disclosed figures for next season are cross-checked against PWHL Contracts, a public contract database, which is an aggregator rather than a primary league or union release. Where the two disagree we keep the figure we can source, so a couple of team totals here read higher than theirs.

WHY THERE'S NO "CAP SPACE" NUMBER

The PWHL CBA does not publish a hard team cap ceiling or floor. Instead, each team must keep its average base salary within ±10% of a league target of $58,349.50 for 2025-26, i.e. a band of $52,515–$64,184. Teams must pay everyone at least the league minimum of $37,131.50, and carry at least 6 players earning $80,000+. Team pages therefore show payroll-vs-band compliance instead of a made-up "cap space" figure.

Note: you may see $38,245 / ~$60,100 quoted elsewhere, those are the 2026-27 figures after the CBA's 3% annual escalator, not the 2025-26 numbers used here.

WHAT'S DELIBERATELY MISSING

• 2026-27 exact salaries, most next-season deals are recorded only as contract status (Signed / RFA / UFA) plus a handful of disclosed figures; team pages show that season-by-season via a toggle.
• Expansion rosters, Vegas, Hamilton, Detroit, and San Jose appear as real franchises with pending rosters until the 2026 Expansion Draft.
• Elite Prospects profile IDs, player pages link to an Elite Prospects search for the player's name rather than guessing profile slugs.
• Player agency representation, scaffolded until a citable public source exists.
